Birthday party

"My daughter and her husband Pam & Larry Ferrere surprised me with my 80th birthday dinner at the new and beautiful Wigwam on January 21st 2011…It was my best birthday ever!!!  The food and service was outstanding and I enjoyed it in your beautiful dining area..We even spotted Jerry…What a treat…"

I love The Wigwam

"I am so happy that The Wigwam has been revitalized. The love and attention it has deserved and been missing for many years, and it's great to see that it has returned to it's glory. The new restaurant and bars are fantastic and the service seems to be energized. Thanks to Jerry and his partners for giving The Wigwam back to the community and for restoring it's glory. It's been a long time since we've celebrated our family events at The Wigwam but we already have a summer reunion planned and can't wait to bring everyone home."

The Wigwam never fails to impress!

This was my 5th time visiting this property for business, and I am determined to make it back to the Wigwam for a relaxing vacation. The Wigwam is set off about 30 minutes west from the Phoenix airport, which to some people is really out of the way. But it's really worth the drive. The rooms are mostly casita style with a full bathroom and beautiful bedroom that leads directly into a seating area. They do have suites/upgrades that are set out from the "regular" rooms in 2-story buildings. I have stayed in both types of rooms, and as much as I do love getting the upgrades, I do really like the feel of the casita rooms. Maybe it's my preference for not being on top of or below someone else's room.

The property itself is huge, and makes it easy to get a little turned around, especially at night. But that's where the bell service comes in. They can drive you in a golf cart to your room and you're set. Otherwise, strolling around the property is a must. You feel like you're in your own little community. And you stumble upon the Red Door Spa and the golf course among your stroll.

The Red Door Spa at the Wigwam… AMAZING! I've been to many spas, and even to other Red Door Spas, but this one takes the cake. The people who work there are always more than pleasant. They're friendly, and helpful, and they love what they do AND they're good at it. Really good. That, in itself, goes a long way when going to any spa.

Every time I visit, I am overwhelmed with kindness from the check-in staff, to the bell service, to bar staff, to the event planning staff… I would recommend this hotel on the staff alone. These people are truly wonderful hosts. And most of the staff has been on property for a very long time, so you don't get that feel of people who are waiting until the next big thing comes along. It's feels sort of like coming home every time I'm there.

Short Game Academy at The Wigwam, Arizona’s Treasured Golf Resort

Golf enthusiasts staying at The Wigwam will love their experience at The Wigwam's championship golf courses. Wigwam Golf was established in the 1930s, a time when golf courses were built on expansive plots of land without dense housing developments and tight, target fairways. At The Wigwam, the golf courses have remained a top priority. This jewel of the desert is among the Southwest's last remaining golf resorts built for a pure golf experience.

The Wigwam's three 18-hole championship golf courses offer a diversity that cannot be matched by any other Arizona resort. Here, the golf enthusiast has their pick of not just one or two courses, but three 18-hole courses – 54 holes of championship golf including two courses designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr. And, in true Wigwam style, each course – The Gold, Patriot and Heritage offers a unique challenge that adds spice and variety to one's stay at this timeless and relaxing retreat.

Teaching Pro Courtney Mahon has created some great new programming for resort guests including The Short Game Academy which features 3 hours of Short Game Instruction. Learn consistent chipping methods to make all short game shots easier. Chipping, Putting, Bunker Play, Drills for improvement. $125/person Minimum of 3 people…Maximum of 6 people.8 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday (Afternoons available too).

Greetings from The Wigwam Farmer’s Market!

Sundays are all about The Farm, so be sure to join us on the front lawn at The Wigwam to shop for some great local foods. While you're browsing among the 25+ grower/producer only vendors, we invite you to enjoy a breakfast of freshly cooked eggs, some fresh made donuts and live music. It's also a great time to get your first peek at the changes as a result of the $7M renovation that was just completed – it's beautiful!

While you are passing through, be sure to stop by and check out the new "Farm to Table" restaurant that the entire Valley is talking about – Litchfield's. Chef de Cuisine, Brian Cooper, has written a menu that utilizes many of the vendors and ingredients that can be found at farmer's market each Sunday.  This week we are pleased to feature Double Check Ranch and Claudine's Kitchen, both of which have been supporters of The Wigwam Market since our first Sunday in November. I really cannot say enough about all the vendors who support the Market. These individuals (many of which are owners and proprietors of their businesses) are dedicated and passionate about their products and it shows! Their weeks rarely see a day off, yet they are always smiling and are eager to share their stories and hear yours. It is rewarding to have customers who return to their favorite booths each week and strike up that unique friendship and camaraderie that is uniquely accessible at Farmers Markets…take advantage of this and get to know where and how your food is produced. Market Sundays are the highlight of the week…it is a time for everyone to socialize, meet new people, discuss new ideas, and form great memories.

For those of you who were at Market last week and saw Celia and Jimmy's baby goats, they will be back again this week! The "name the kid" contest winners will be announced tomorrow and these little girls will have new names. This week our weekly cooking demonstration will showcase Double Check Ranch Beef and creative ways to make sandwiches with Claudine's Kitchen ingredients. Class will be held promptly at 11am this week!

Come out and join us for another beautiful, sunny AZ day on the lawn!
