Summer Activities at The Wigwam

We kicked off the summer with West Valley Family Nights powered by Radio Disney on Saturday, May 18th! On the front lawn, families enjoy themed activities, entertainment and special appearances from Disney Channel TV stars. West Valley Family Nights continue every third Saturday of the month through August.

Memorial Day weekend, you can expect special holiday festivities with our Salute the Troops Concert on Sunday, May 26th! Taking place right on our front lawn from 5:30p – 9p, you will hear live music by Mary Hoffman Band, enjoy homestyle barbecue eats and fun family activities.

Memorial Day weekend also marks the beginning of our ongoing daily summer activities happening around the resort all the way through Labor Day weekend. Summer at The Wigwam delivers fun and entertainment for all of you staycationers and out-of-town visitors!

Sack RacesHere are just a few things you can expect to find…

  • Kids Chef Camps (every Saturday at 10am beginning May 18th)

BocceAt The Wigwam, guests are invited to play bocce; a game in which its origins come from the ancient games once played in the Roman Empire.  Today, although slightly modified, Bocce is extremely popular in Europe and in the U.S.  The Bocce Ball courts in Arizona are perfect for year round fun due to our warm climate and at The Wigwam we have two brand new, custom built regulation masonry Bocce Courts!

How is Bocce played?

The game is played with eight large balls and one smaller ball known as the pallino.  The object of the game is to get your bocce balls as close as possible to the pallino.  Bocce is won when a player reaches a total of 13 points.
